PLACES FOR WALKING CYCLING & FISHING

As mentioned earlier the countryside within the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is ideal for those people who prefer walking and cycling. For guests wishing to go for walks in the Chalk Valley laminated copies of the Ordnace Survey Map are available.

The photographs below show the rolling downland around Bowerchalke which  is characteristic of the Cranborne Chase & West Wiltshire Downs AONB and gives an indication of why it is so popular for touring by walking or cycling.

For visitors wishing to go fishing, details are available from the website of the   Salisbury & District Angling Club.

The above photographs show a tranquil scene on the river Ebble and a young Hare taking cover in our garden
